The Control tab shows the current system status and recording status of the front or back cameras. It is also used to start and stop recordings and access the camera live view from both cameras.
The camera panels show the status of your front and back cameras, which includes:
- The connection and recording status of each camera
- The amount of remaining recording time each camera.
The time remaining changes depending on the resolution settings of the cameras and is configured in Evidence.com. The higher the resolution, the fewer hours of recordings can be stored on camera’s internal memory card. - The Wi-Fi Connection status of each camera.
Wi-Fi connection is not needed for controlling the camera. It is used for live view, evidence playback, and wireless uploading. - The audio recording status for each camera.
The camera panels also show camera recording status and are used to start or stop recording for both the front and back cameras.
If Axon View XL is paired with an Axon body worn camera, an additional camera panel, for controlling the body worn camera, is added to the Control tab page.
The camera live view can be accessed from this tab by tapping Live View. Live view shows the current view from the front or back cameras.
Note: There might be a slight delay between what the camera sees and what appears on the live view.
