Signal Sidearm has four operating modes; Low Power Mode, Test Mode, Field Mode, and Mute Mode. Low Power Mode is used for shipping and storing the sensor. Test Mode is used to calibrate the sensor and verify correct operations. The sensor should be in Field Mode during normal operations. Mute Mode allows you to remove your sidearm from the holster, but NOT alert Axon cameras to record.
The sensor is “asleep” in Low Power Mode. We recommend keeping a sensor in this mode when not in use for an extended period of time, such as during shipping or when in storage.
- After the sensor is installed, press the button to wake up the sensor and enter Test Mode.
The LED rapidly blinks green 3 times to indicate the sensor entered Test Mode.
If you do not continue with the steps under Test Mode in 30 seconds, then the sensor goes back to sleep.
