This article provides an overview of the Axon Interview interface that users see while recording an interview.
The interview information appears above the video player.
The recording view shows the room that Axon Interview is currently recording.
The bottom of the recording view shows the current time and date, which are visible when the recording is viewed.
If your system has two cameras associated with a room, the image from the second camera is shown in the lower-left below the recording view. You can switch between views by tapping the lower-left view.
A sound bar is shown to the right of the recording view. The sound bar is the vertical bar that indicates the sound volume inside the interview room. The height of the green segment is relative to the sound volume in the interview room. The louder the sound volume inside the room, the higher the green segment.
Action buttons are shown to the right of the sound bar.
- Create Marker: Used to mark and add descriptions for important events during the interview.
- Monitor Sound On: Allows you to hear what Axon Interview is recording through your speakers. This is normally used to check the sound from Axon Interview microphones.
- Streaming Password: Generate a password for use with the Axon Interview Live Streaming application. Once the password is generated, it can be provided to user with the Live Streaming application to view the in-progress interview. This button is only visible if Live Streaming is enabled for your Axon Interview installation.
- Mask Audio: Prevents Axon Interview from recording the sounds in the interview room. This option does not stop the recording session or affect video recording, it only prevents audio from being recorded.
- Mask Video: Prevents Axon Interview from recording the camera feed from the interview room. A black screen is shown instead of the camera feed. This option does not stop the recording session or affect audio recording, it only prevents the camera feed from being recorded.
- Mask Audio/Video: Prevents Axon Interview from recording both audio and camera feed from the interview room. A black screen is shown instead of the camera feed. This option does not stop the recording session, it only prevents the camera feed and audio from being recorded.
- Lock the Panel: If you need to prevent use of the Axon Interview panel, you can lock the panel while recording. This feature does not stop the recording session, it only prevents someone from using the panel until it is unlocked.
