All Files ingested by the Commander have an SHA-2 hash associated with them. This serves multiple purposes, the most important of which is to let Axon Commander identify and validate the files when they are moved due to Association rules. The other purpose is to add a layer of security to prevent file tampering. For more information about Association rules, see Managing Associations.
Users with appropriate permission can conduct a Verify operation on a file to make sure the file is whole and complete.
- Select the file in the Assets pane and do one of the following:
- Right-click and select File Operations > Verify File Integrity.
- Click Verify at the bottom of the Assets pane.
- Open the file in the player and click Verify.
If there are no problems, the Verify process completes. You can click Save Log to save the process log.
- Click Close.
