The last search section is the Filters section. Filters help you limit search results to the files that you want to see. The search only looks for files in the selected search filter.
When a Filter, other than All Files, is selected, a list is shown below the Filters section with the available options for that filter. Select the appropriate option from the list. Only one filter and option can be selected.
The available Filters are described below.
All Files - This selection searches through all Files. This is the default Filter selection.
Markers - The Markers filter limits the search to files with the selected Event Type. The list of possible Event Types is shown in the list box.
You can use the Search for: field to narrow down the Event Types list by entering information into the field. This is useful if your system has many Event Types.
Example: To only show Event Types with “Traffic” in the title, you would type Traffic into the Search for field and only those Events would be shown in the list.
Areas - The Areas filter limits the search to file from the selected Area. The list of all the available Areas is shown in the list box. These are typically Areas that the files were created in or uploaded from.
Most systems have several Areas that make sense for categorization within that specific solution. You can use the Search for: field to narrow down a large list of Areas.
Sources - The Source filter limits the search to files from the selected Source. The list of available Sources is shown in the list box.
The Source usually pertains to the name of the system that generated or recorded the file.

Folders - The Folders filter limits the search to files in the selected Folder. The list of available Folders is shown in the list box.
Folders are for categorizing large Groups of Files.
You can use the Search for: field to narrow down a large list of Folders.
Cabinets - The Cabinets filter limits the search to files in the selected Cabinet.
Cabinets are parent directories to Folders and are meant for a higher level of categorization of large Groups of Folders.
You can use the Search for: to narrow down a large list of Cabinets.
Users - The Users filter limits the search to files associated with the selected user.
You can use the Search for: to narrow down a large list of users.
Tags - The Tags filter limits the search to files with the selected Choice Tags. Choice have a list of pre-defined values users can apply to the file. Information in Text Tags can be found using the text Search field. Tags are added to the system by Commander administrators.

Destinations - The Destinations filter limits the search to files that have been sent to another Commander Server or Destination Folder.
Destinations are added to the system by Commander administrators.
Note: Destinations are only visible as a search filter if the Destinations have been created and files have been sent to the Destination.

Servers - The Servers filter limits the search to files associated with the selected Server.
Note: Servers are only visible as a search filter if another server has sent files to the Commander server currently being accessed.
