The Axon Dock administration interface uses HTTP by default when connecting with a browser. Note that this connection is not related to the Dock's connection to your digital evidence management application, which uses HTTPS and is not adjustable.
For an added layer of security when connecting, you can enable HTTPS. Use the following steps to enable an HTTPS connection.
- Connect a computer to your Axon Dock and type 10.10.1.1 and press Enter.
If you have not signed in to the Axon Dock yet, enter the administrator Username and Password.
Note: This is not the same as your Axon Evidence (Evidence.com) Username and Password.
- On the Axon Dock Status page menu bar, click Administration.
- In the SSL Configuration section, select the Accept only SSL Requests check box and click Save Changes.
- Refresh the browser page. You will see a browser warning.
Click the option that allows you to add the exception and install the Dock security certificate. Each browser has a slightly different workflow. An example from Google Chrome is shown below.
