- On the menu bar, click Admin and then under Agency Settings, click Roles & Permissions.
The Roles & Permissions page lists available roles in alphabetical order. - The next action depends on if you are creating a new Role or editing an existing Role.
- To create a new Role - click Create Role, then enter the Role Name and select the license Tier.
- To edit a Role - click the edit icon (
) on the same line as the role that you want to edit.
- In the Login Access section, set Axon Performance to Allowed.
- Scroll down to the Axon Performance section and set the permissions for the Role by selecting Allowed, Any, Only Their Own, or Prohibited as needed.
Note: Workflows, such as Video Reviews, are turned on or off in Axon Performance on the Settings Page. The Settings page overrides the Role permissions in Evidence.com as it relates to Axon Performance workflows, and Evidence.com Role permissions, as they relate to evidence, are enforced in Axon Performance.
Examples: A supervisor has permission to initiate a video review, but the video review feature is disabled on the Settings page. When the supervisor signs in to Axon Performance, the Random Video Reviews section will not appear and the video review permissions are ignored.
When the video review feature is enabled and a supervisor has permission to initiate a video review, but does not have permission to view restricted evidence. When the supervisor signs in to Axon Performance, restricted evidence will not appear in the Random Video Reviews section.
- For each permission that you need to update, locate the name of the permission on the page, and then to the right of the name, click the option you need.
- When you have finished setting all the permissions for the Role, scroll to the bottom of the page and then click Save.
Evidence.com immediately begins enforcing the changes to permissions that you made. - Once all your Roles have been created or edited, check that users are assigned to the appropriate roles.
