Note: To use the Axon Aware+ Livestream functionality, users must have the correct permissions enabled for their Axon Evidence Role. See the Axon Aware section of the Axon Help Center for more information.
The Axon Air mobile app is available in the App Store® for any iPad® with iOS 11 or higher. Go to the App Store, search for Axon Air, and then install the app on your device. Log in to the app using your Axon Evidence agency and credentials.
Updates to the Axon Air mobile app are made directly through the App Store.
Android Tablets (non-DJI CRYSTALSKY™ tablets)
The Axon Air mobile app is available in Google Play for any Android tablet with Android v5.1.1 or higher. Go to Google Play, search for Axon Air, and then install the app on your device. Log in to the app using your Axon Evidence.com agency and credentials.
Updates to the Axon Air mobile app are made directly through Google Play.
Open the browser on the CRYSTALSKY monitor. Sign in to your Axon Evidence.com account. Click or tap Help in the menu bar and then click or tap Download Axon Air for CRYSTALSKY. The app download starts automatically.
Note: The browser will not notify you when the download is complete. You can check the status of the download by navigating to the downloads app from the same list where you found the browser app. Tap the center hardware button on the right side and you'll see the download on the left side of the screen.
When the download has finished, it will ask if you want to install the app and display the list of permissions that you're giving the app. Scroll down to the bottom and tap Install.
Once the installation is complete, tap Open to launch the app or tap Done to close the installer. You can open the Axon Air app from the app tray.
Updates to the Axon Air app are through the application itself through update notifications.
Connecting the Axon Air app to your Android Tablet or DJI CRYSTALSKY Monitor
To use the Axon Air mobile app on an Android tablet or CRYSTALSKY monitor, it must be connected in the system.
Unplug the connection from the table/monitor to the UAV controller and then plug it back in. The tablet will prompt you to connect to the DJI pilot app or the Axon Air app. When prompted, select the Axon Air app and then select Just Once.
If you are not prompted for the selection:
- For an Android tablet, tap outside the dialog window area to close it. Navigate to Settings → Apps → Default Apps → Default App Selection and then select Ask Before Setting Default Apps. Additionally, within the Settings, select the pilot app you are using and then tap Clear Defaults.
- For a CRYSTALSKY monitor, navigate to Settings, select Apps, select All, for all applications, and then scroll to your pilot app and select it. Finally tap Clear Defaults.
Unplug the connection to the UAV controller and then plug it back in. The prompt will appear.
In the future to switch between the Axon Air app or your pilot app, unplug the cable to the controller, plug it back in, and when prompted select the app you want to use and then select Just Once. Do not select Always.

Axon recommends using Evidence Upload XT, which can be downloaded directly from Axon Evidence, for general ingestion of evidence from a Windows computer. Follow the steps in the Axon Help Center article to download and install Evidence Upload XT.
Note: You will need to remove the SD card from the UAV and insert it into an SD card reader connected to the computer or directly into the computer if an SD card reader is built in.
