Support on Windows 7 and Windows 8
Support for Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7 and 8 officially ended on December 31, 2020, coinciding with the end-of-life date of Adobe Flash Player. Without Flash Player, we are unable to provide evidence playback functionality on these older browser-OS combinations. While other functionality may continue to work, we do not guarantee support for any new or existing features, and will not provide notice when functionality changes.
Support on Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
Internet Explorer 11 stopped receiving updates other than security patches in 2015. Since that time, there have been many advancements in web technology and performance. Axon relies on many of these advancements to deliver the best experience possible.
Due to the limitations of Internet Explorer’s functionality, many of our newer features are not supported. Additionally, the performance of many common features, such as Evidence Search, are significantly better in modern browsers.
The following features of Axon Evidence are not supported in Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 8.1 and 10:
- Respond for Devices
- Transcription
Additionally, Axon’s other web applications, including Performance, Records, and Respond, do not support Internet Explorer 11.
We recommend upgrading your agency to a newer browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge in order to ensure you continue to have access to all of the features of the Axon Network with the best possible performance. While we will continue to support Internet Explorer for our current features, support for future features will be determined on a case-by-case basis. New features that are not supported in Internet Explorer 11 will be noted in the Axon release notes.
