Wi-Fi Connectivity error messages are shown if your system is unable to connect. Refer to the following table for the error number or message and the action or troubleshooting steps to follow.
Error Number or Message | Action |
1055 | This error code indicates an internal error in the camera. Initiate a Returns process to return and replace the camera with new hardware |
Ping error: Wi-Fi signal is orange and in the View XL Settings Tab, the camera error shows noping |
This error occurs when the camera is not on the same network as the Cradlepoint router, the VPN is taking the traffic elsewhere, network latency, Wi-Fi contention, or the camera is not responding to http requests. Verify that the camera is on the same network as the Cradlepoint router (on the same Wi-Fi that the Cradlepoint SSID is connected to), try to turn off the VPN used, and power the camera off and on. |
DHCP error |
This occurs when the Cradlepoint router does not have enough IP addresses for the cameras. Go to the Cradlepoint NetCoud Manager. Navigate to Cradlepoint settings > Networking > Local Networks > Local IP Networks > DHCP IPV4. Review the information and verify that enough IP addresses are available so that each camera can have its own IP address. Then reboot the Cradlepoint routers and Axon Fleet cameras. |
Not Authenticated error |
Each time the router boots, it performs an assessment of Wi-Fi interference and selects the best channel for operation. By default, devices are set to only check once, which could lead to being on a channel with more interference than desired as the environment changes. To correct this, try adjusting the Wi-Fi Radio #2 (5GHz) settings for more in-car stability with Axon components. The recommended adjustments are to change this selection method to its most frequent possible (Daily) to ensure you are getting new assessments every 24-hour period and the router is operating on the most efficient channel. In addition, reduce the available channel width to 20 MHz. By default, the available widths are 20/40/80 and connecting devices select the most appropriate method. Axon cameras are most stable at 20 MHz, but will occasionally select 40 MHz. This usually results in strange connection behaviors and moving to 20 MHz only will prevent this issue. Go to the Cradlepoint NetCoud Manager. Navigate to Networking > Local Networks > WiFi Radio #2 (5 GHz) Change the following WiFi Settings: Save the changes |
SSID Not Found |
This error appears if the SSID of the Cradlepoint router does not match the SSID entered in Axon Evidence.com. Confirm that the SSID matches exactly in upper/lower case letters, numbers, and special characters. Ensure the Wi-Fi radio is on. Once confirmed, sign out of Axon View XL and then sign back in. |
